Animal Vaccines and recombinant antibodies for passive vaccination

  • The Biochemistry & Molecular Genetics Department at IIBR developed a vaccine for African Swine Fever (ASF), which is regarded as a highly contagious viral disease of swine.

  • The vaccine is based on a unique approach that uses selected elements from the virus proteins to inhibit virus spread.

  • In addition, IIBR is developing a highly efficient recombinant antibodies for passive vaccination against Newcastle Disease in poultry.

  • LSRI licensed the developments and rights to use to an international animal health care company, for the purpose of developing new products.
